Terms of Service

By installing or using BLE Workbench (“the app”), you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. These terms are between you and Rapidcircuitry.

BLE Workbench is a Bluetooth Low Energy engineering tool: a scanner, GATT client/server, packet codec, DFU/OTA flasher, and related instrumentation for inspecting and driving BLE devices you own or are authorized to test. It is provided for personal and professional development use.

• You need an account to use the app. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the details you register with and for keeping your password confidential.
• One account per person. Don’t share credentials or let someone else access the app under your account.
• You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time — see Data deletion.

BLE Workbench includes tooling — a scanner, GATT read/write, and a security-audit module — that can connect to, probe, and write data to Bluetooth devices you did not build. Only use these features against devices you own, or that you have explicit authorization to test.Probing or writing to a third party’s device without permission may be unlawful where you live, and is never permitted under these terms regardless of local law.

You agree not to:

• Use the app to access, disrupt, or damage a device or network without authorization.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our authentication server’s source or credentials beyond what the app’s own client does.
• Use the app in a way that violates any applicable law, including export-control or radio-equipment regulations in your country.
• Interfere with the operation of our authentication service (e.g. automated abuse, credential stuffing).

The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Firmware flashing/DFU, GATT writes, and peripheral emulation can affect the behavior of connected hardware — up to and including bricking a device if the firmware image or write is wrong for that target. You are responsible for verifying images and targets before you flash or write anything. We don’t warrant that the app is error-free or that it will work with every BLE device or Android version.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rapidcircuitry is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including damage to hardware you flash, write to, or otherwise interact with using the app’s tooling.

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, in particular the Authorized use only section. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

We may update these terms as the app changes. We’ll update the effective date above when we do; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
